Centennial Lakes

Centennial Lakes
I spent the afternoon here, reading about anti-bias and multicultural education. The reading wasn't great, but at least the setting was :) I started out at a table, so I could eat my PB&J, and then moved down the way towards the amphitheatre. It was all shady and under a tree and just happened to be the duck's nap room. There were 7 or 8 ducks, sleeping and hanging out in the grass. Did you know that ducks have lower eyelids that act like our upper lid? They blink up! I was THAT close to the ducks. And when they quack that close, it's LOUD! And there is one carmel colored duck...she was SO pretty. I just wanted to pet her, she looked so soft. It made me sad that it's pretty much the end of the nice days....it was almost 90 today. A HUGE storm blew through around 7pm. Sirens sounded and everything! Pitch black and scary! But, it's all done, and now it's only about 70 out...and that's where it's supposed to stay. *sigh*
