I'm back!!
I totally wanted to post last night, but Blogger's server was down or something :( I think I had something I wanted to say....but alas I can't remember it.
OH YEAH!! I turned 30 on Friday. The end. No....but not super spectacular or anything. I think the highlight of the night was my gift from Sister. I already knew she was making me fleecey pillows (cuz I picked out the fabric...and I had the actual pillow forms in my spare bedroom!), but I didn't know she was making me a journal. It's so cool! The best part is not the journal itself (you know...blank paper, ready for all my inner most thoughts.....what a second...is this her way of telling me she read my journals back in the olden days...and she feels guilty?!?! EEEKK!!! :) ) but the design she painted on the cover. It's a cute little turtle, holding a sign. The sign says, "My Bastie Turtle Plans" :) I laughed, she laughed...and everyone else just kind of looked at us. We TRIED to explain, but like all inside jokes, it loses something in the translation :) BTW, Sister, Hubby told Dragon about it on Saturday. I think he's impressed with your talent/skill/creativity....but they were both still confused by the whole "Bastie Turtle" thing :)
Hubby got me the Batman DVD collection...which is all well and good (it's cool looking), but the only Batman movie I ever liked was "Batman Forever." But it's ok, cuz he only likes the first "Batman" movie :) And he got me the latest Simpsons set to come out...The one with Marge. I can't remember the season. I just know that I don't care for the new packaging (you hear me Matt Groening?!?). Oh! Speaking of venting to people about their crappy product...I want to have a word with the SuperTarget people...at least the ST I go to. More often than not, I find at least one item on my list to be past the date on the package (once it was almost 2 months past the date!!!), or I'll find something I need in a puddle of goo cuz another package has leaked (this week it was Hormel Tenderloin. I'm almost positive that the one I bought was not the leaker). Another peeve is the milk cooler. The jugs are on an inclined roller system, so when you pull the front one out, they all slide forward. And there's always a leaky one on the top so I have to find the least leaky row so I don't have milk on my jug...or stinky dried milk flakes....YUCK!
Ok....I'm freezing cold and wondering if my dad got my message last night. Hmmmm.....If it wasn't still early I'd crawl into my bed, right under the toasty warm electric blankie :)
