You can't make me!!!
Our "vacation" is almost over. 2nd worst vacation ever, I'm sure. It's sad when the highlight is stuffing insulation in the window frames, and bringing the temp. in our bedroom up 10 degrees.
Hubby STILL doesn't have a job. He's got a couple of people to contact tomorrow, and we're still waiting to hear from the truck store. I guess I shouldn't be surprised that this is so difficult, but....I don't know how to end that phrase. Oh, and get this....the weather was not too bad all last week, while we were sitting at home, and the nicest day was Wednesday, when we were trapped in Forest Lake. Tonight, a mix of rain, sleet and snow is moving in, until tomorrow morning. Ten bucks says my car is frozen shut in the morning and I'll be late. I can hardly wait for all the parents: "How was your time off? Relaxing?" What am I going to say, "Well, if you think wondering about your financial future becasue your husband only has 2 weeks left at his job relaxing, then yes, yes it was" :) I'll just say, yes, we got all ready for Christmas and slept in. I don't know of any parents in this group of kids that I would tell the WHOLE story to. BUT, this week is a 4 day week, and we'll get presents :) Then the following week is only 3 days, so that rocks. AND the reindeer are coming Wednesday, and our birthday party for Jesus (The perks of working for a Lutheran Church...we get to have Christmas!!) is Thursday. AND I'll get "extra" hours for the 2 Fridays and 1 Monday we are closed (vacation pay is an average of hours that we work each week. I work and average of 7.4 hrs....BUT I only work 6.75 hours those days). Rock on!
I just hope Hubby gets/picks a job SOON!! Even if it's just a temporary thing at the other CD store....I can't take his pacing and doubting and pouting any longer!
