Who can it beeee now?

Ok....I don't know that I should be posting this...but...I'm a little weirded out.
I started a new counter, through StatsCounter. The last time I popped onto my blog, I had 13 hits on the new counter. Today, 94! Someone, from Minnesota, read every one of my posts and it registered each page hit...all 81 of them!
I don't know if I should be honored that someone is reading, or offended that they won't comment, or creeped out that I actually have people reading this! Well, now I know how all the bloggers that I read might feel. With the excpetion of my sister, nobody knows I am "lurking" on their lives!
PLEASE don't stop reading :) PLEASE comment, say hi, semd me cookies :) OK, just kidding about the last part :)

Everyday is Something Day...

At the Minnesota State Fair :)
We made our annual pilgrimage to the State Fair Saturday...Hubby, Dragon, my sister and I. It was...the usual. With the exception of the moment when Hubby snapped and stormed away from us, and then when we caught up I yelled at him. That was new...we usually don't do that. Then Dragon tried to play peace maker and dragged us up to Heritage Square to buy chocolate covered cheesecake on a stick. Hubby got a cinnamon roll there too and all was well. Well, except that I got chocolate on my shorts and it stained :(
We saw Tonic Sol Fa at the Bandshell. HOLY COW! There were a billion people! Well, not a billion, but WAY more than there were 2 years ago. We stood about 2 rows back from the last row of benches...and there were still rows and rows of people behind us! I kind of want to see if Hubby can carry their CD's at his store...and tell them about it so they can advertise when they are in town. We'll see.....
I need to hop in the shower so I can read the paper and go to bed. Stayed up WAY too late last night and had to get up TOO early today. OH! Remind me to tell you about the TSR Taco Bell Tacos we made last week. I'm going to try a Banana Julius tonight, if my ice cubes froze. Yum!
ETA: Hubby and I have been watching fireworks together for 9 years

Duluth.....

Dude...how could you NOT want to live here...... *sigh*

bedtime...

Ok, for real, I should be in bed sleeping. We're having birthday breakfast for Hubby at 8:45 in the morning. That's....7 hours from now. Well...we went to Duluth this week...came home today. You know how when you go an vacation (or holiday :) ), you get to a point where you are having fun, but are starting to miss home? I never made it to that point. Maybe it's because I do like Duluth so much, or maybe because we haven't had a leave-the-house vacation in 2 years, or maybe because I don't know when I'll get back to Duluth, or on a leave-the-house vacation, again. *sigh* We saw a ship come into port. We saw VERY big waves on the lake. We saw trains, in the museum AND on the tracks. We saw seagulls. We saw a lighthouse, and the horns that used to say "bee-ooo." It was VERY foggy today, but I did not hear the fog horns. I thought that was odd. I do like the fog horns. Bee-Ooo!
I'm nervous about going back to work on Monday. Worried about new staff starting, and new kids starting, and what has all been changed or done while I was gone. Shouldn't worry....stuff will be changed, and I will get used to it...and the person who filled in for me knows me well enough to call me if something BIG changed...and she knows me well enough to make sure that anyone new doesn't fuck with my system while I'm gone. Hee-hee...I said the F-word :) Dragon hates it when I say that, so sometimes I say it just to be cute :)
Hmmm...I think there might be something outside. The cat just got all weird and is staring out the window. It's 2am...should I look? Nah....I SHOULD go to bed though. Birthday breakfast, then the air duct cleaners are coming (I'll link to them later), and I need to get a picture frame (or two) for the driftwood and rock collages we are making (saw them in a art store/gallery in the DeWitt-Seitz Building....for $28!! Yeah, we can make our own!! Sorry poor starving artists. THIS is our souvenier!) and I need to pick up my film. One roll is Duluth and the other roll is an outdoor concert I went to last year with my mom and sister...Tonic Sol Fa :) I'll have to link to them later too.
That's it. Bedtime. Oh! My sister watched the cats while we were gone. Actually, I think she watched a lot of movies. The cat dishes were empty when we got home today :( One of the fish died, but I figured he was a goner before we left, so I can't blame that on her. OH! And we have drain flies. Thanks to our overflowing sewer a few months back, we have an overabundance of these damn flies. So, I also have to research how to get rid of them. We got rid of the sewage, so HOPEFULLY they will slow down their breeding. Ugh. I opened the toilet today and there was one already in it! That's NOT ok!! And somewhere in all this, I need to revise my paper and send in a timeline. We talked about it in class Monday, so I got THAT part answered, but I'm not really sure....well, really what it boils down to is that I HATE stuff like this. I don't stick to it, then I feel bad for not accomplishing what was on my to-do list. So, I guess I just need to do it, and then just erase the "when" part on the copy I post for "motivation." Then I just have a list to check off as I go.
UGH!! I just remembered we have to move furniture tomorrow for the duct cleaners. Probably won't have time for a nap after breakfast. Sleep til 8, go eat, come home around 9:30....read the paper, do some laundry...duct guys from 2-5....dinner, bed. Hubby's going to some race thing Sunday with Dragon's dad, but they are leaving at 3:30am!! So, he'll be in bed early, then up early and gone all day. Ugh....just in time for the Sunday night rush....grocery list, putting laundry away, getting ready for the new week. Blah. I'll sleep Sunday :)

Don't you hate a lazy blogger?

I hate it when I check my "regular" blogs, only to find that they haven't updated....don't you?
No excuses....just stress, the usual. This writing course for school has been HORRID!!! Miscommunication left and right...and this one is for a grade, not just pass/fail! I still have to email someone to be a reader...tomorrow, I guess. Just two weeks left of the course. I still need to do a timeline too...I'm not so good at that. I don't really know WHAT I need to do, let alone WHEN it's going to be done! Guess I better ask someone....just so I can get some kind of convoluted answer!
I'm feeling a bit worthless and...just unable to do anything right lately. I KNOW it's just hormones and in a few days I'll be right as rain....but I HATE this feeling. I bought Hubby something I thought he'd at least get a kick out of for his birthday. Yeah, biffed that one. It's going back to the store tomorrow. Hopefully I cna just get cash or a check, not a gift card. If it's a gift card, I'll have to give DH cash so he can get himself a gift, since I know he won't shop at that store. That really ISN'T bothering me, it just has compounded all the rest of the stuff I feel bad about. We even went to IKEA today, and instead of making me feel better, it just made me feel worse about my house...how messy it is, and how cluttered and poorly decorated and dark. But what do you do with good furniture that just needs to be reupholstered...and maybe shrunk....? We found a chair similar to the one we have, but smaller. It was comfy, too. The matching couch was not. We don't have "extra" room in our house to stuff furniture. Even our "extra" room upstairs is too small (even empty!!) to fit this stuff!! So, I guess we research upholstering and see if it's something WE can do, or can afford to have done, at least for the chair. We can probably slipcover the couch... We just have such different tastes in decorating, sometimes.
Well, I suppose, I should head to bed. Maybe grab a bowl of cereal or something first. I have the munchies...dinner was good, but a long time ago.

These are the chairs we were looking at. The Jennylund chair was set up in a little nursery room...it made me a little sad, just because it was what it was. Then we sat on a mattress (the sultan :) ) and that was comfy. The EKTORP is similar to the chair we have, but smaller. The store had it displayed in green, but I think I like the beige. My only problem with all their fabrics...they can't be dryered...I don't have any place to hang dry stuff!!! I think next time we go, I want to get a couple of pillows for the couch, maybe in red micro suede stuff. Maybe....we went today to get sit cushions for our dining room chairs but I just didn't want to buy them. Plus, we don't have the money and I was starting to feel icky and just wanted to go home.....

I tried this out...it's FUN!!! I recommend everyone get one :)

I really like this...wish it came in oak.....

*sigh* it seems everytime we go, Hubby finds something else to WANT. We have been to IKEA every weekend for the last 4 weekends. Luckily, the house payment is due, so we won't be able to afford a trip to IKEA this coming weekend. Maybe we'll go look at tile instead.
