Almost ALMOST done!

That's right...I'm almost ALMOST done!! I turned in my capstone on Sunday night and heard back from my chair Monday. She said I SHOULD hear back from her this week. I'll start panicking next week :) Hopefully there won't be a billion revisions. I already had her go over the project, and I revised parts of that. And the main body has been picked over for the last 2 years...so HOPEFULLY it won't be TOO much.
Got graduation gear on Saturday...and lost Hubby in the college library. Never thought THAT would happen! When I couldn't find him, I just pointed myself towards the periodicals and knew I'd find him there :)
So, I decided to get myself in over my head on a NEW project. Yeah, I'm taking over the alumni band. I emailed the parade guys and the high school band director tonight. Hopefully I didn't just do something big and naughty!! Once I get a list from the previous organizers I'll start emailing and snail-mailing alum and HOPEFULLY get a decent turn-out. I just don't want to be sitting on my ass getting sunburned again this year!!
Hubby is freaking out cuz his online game is "broken" tonight....I'm waiting for the DT's to kick in :) There are boys all over the world freaking out because the WoW patch didn't work. And their women are rejoicing :) WAIT!!! Hubby's not online...what am I doing here?!? We should have been watching a movie or playing video games together!!!
OH!! Note to sister (since gmail makes her 'puter stupid)...I bought extra ice cream if we want banana splits or sundaes this Friday....you just need to provide cream in a can, bananas, and everything but chocolate syrup and caramel syrup :) YES!!! Hubby and Sunny have commandeered the cream in a can. She comes RUNNING when she hears the psst! of the whipped cream. It's very cute :) Really, it is :)

ETA: I just ordered graduation announcements....why? Cuz I'm dumb! I wasn't going to pay big bucks...and then I realized I was too something to do it on my own. Afraid I'd get the date wrong or the address wrong or the degree wrong. As it is, I think my diploma will just say "Psymon Bee" when I think I'd really like it to say "Psymon T. Bee" but....I guess I can email someone about that. Anyway...went online and discovered that the deadline for grad announcements was Monday....but I went to the website anyway and it allowed my order. So I suppose Monday was the cut off to do it through the university. This site had all the information on the ceremonies and all, so it was quick and painless...until I get the credit card bill!! Hubby will not be happy, but now I have something to give his mother.
Why am I not as excited as everyone thinks I should be....Oh yeah....CUZ I'M NOT REALLY DONE YET!!!! And I think I'm PMS-ing so my emotions are all over the place....hmmm....hope the announcements come in time...they didn't give an ETA on them....4-6 weeks puts me at....2 weeks before graduation! Good think all my family is in town!!! They all know the date and time, so this is just a formality. But, if the COLLEGE'S deadline was yesterday, then they SHOULD get here on time...I can't imagine that they'd REALLY charge $17 for fast shipping (or whatever it was!) if you waited until the one-stop grad-shop to order. Ok....only minor regrets now....
*stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid*

Gallop more.....

or gallop less....that would be Sister's prescription for me right now. I galloped and run with the kids for about 15 minutes yesterday, and even though I switched legs when I galloped, my left leg still hurts. Like limp-when-I-get-up-after-sitting-too-long hurts. Ouch!
On a lighter note...I WILL have my Capstone "turned" in before Saturday...maybe. I am lacking a strong introduction to my project, and my final conclusion chapter is pretty weak...but I'm going to be on campus this weekend (to pick up my cap and gown and Master's medallion!!!!) so I'm gonna pop into the library and skim a few capstones. I regret not making copies of the one I checked out 2 years ago. Oh well. But, I may still send her what I have (maybe even tonight?!?!) and tell her that I am still working on those parts and can send them separate when finished. I'd really like to be done with the critical dialogue before graduation...I just never expected the feedback from my Chair to take so long though. That has made it hard for me to stay motivated on this, I guess. Only because I'm afraid to plow into something only to be told that it is all wrong...and since each part is much like the next, getting feedback from one sort of gives me a clue on the rest. Did that make sense?
Anyway...I'm not getting anything do blogging here...so I'm off to Word. Type type type!! OH!!! I discovered last week that 2 of my internet resources had "disappeared" so I could no longer use them. GUESS WHAT?!?! I found exact copies on other websites tonight! Woo-hoo!!! I don't have to change the paper...just the references!! Woo-hoo!!
And my paper is currently at 86 pages now...Zowie!!

Snow Day!!!

Whoo-Hoo!!! We got a snow day!!! Boss called at 5:00 this morning to say we were closed, call the parents at 6am. So, I did, then went to dig out my car, did out Hubby's truck, and shoveled the 2 inches of snow we had and went in to wait for Hubby to call. He made it in to work safely, yay :) Turns out that the brunt of the storm was just starting and we got a TON more snow! It's hard to say how much, actually, because it's really windy....The snow was as deep as each step (did that make sense?). It was so deep I could hardly open the front door! I took pictures from inside...one of those times that it's cool to have a full glass storm door :) The weather guys say we have about 2 more hours of heavy snow and wind. So, I figure I'll finish chores around here and then start my driving around near 2pm. I have to go to the cat store to get a few cans of cat food for the Picky One, then Target for pop and kleenex, then a grocery store. Haven't decided which one yet....I don't like Cub, but Rainbow doesn't carry all the brands we like (oddly, enough). So, we'll see what Target has and then go from there, I guess. What an exciting life I lead :) But until then, I camp out on the couch, watching bad daytime TV. I washed the bed pillows so no napping there....maybe on the couch :)

Hall of Famer Kirby Puckett Dies at 45 - Yahoo! News

Hall of Famer Kirby Puckett Dies at 45 - Yahoo! News

Sad day for Minnesota sports :( Reminds me of playing at the 'Dome after the '91 World Series celebration parade. Sister always liked Puckett, dad called him the "fat little fireplug." Actually....and old classmate wrote a very nice blog about Kirby Puckett. I shall link to it http://jerryandsarasteele.typepad.com/deez_steeles/2006/03/touch_em_all.html
Goodbye Kirrrrrrbyyyyyy Puckett....you will be missed.

I'm here, I'm here....

I haven't been on vacation or anything fun like that....just not been blogging. I apologize :)
I got a burst of..something yesterday. Creativity or motivation or something and worked my butt off on the project from hell. I started the second part of the project, the activities section. Not as easy as I thought it would be. BUT, that being said, I typed up one "chapter" and have another done, but it needs to be re-organized. Then I have 2 more to do. I PLAN on having it all done this weekend :)
I FINALLY got feedback from my chair on the first half of my project on Monday. It put me in a mini-funk. Oh yeah...I was never meant to be a writer! But, after I got over my funk, I realized that her suggestions made WAY more sense than what I had done originally, so I will make those changes. And if you know me, I don't take criticism well, so to say I'm ok with the suggestions is a big deal :) So, I suppose next weekend will be editing, and HOPEFULLY I'll be able to send a full draft to my chair by March 20-24th. HOPEFULLY I'll be ready for the critical dialogue part in April. I really want it DONE before graduation in May.
Well....guess I had better hop in the shower so I can maybe wake up a bit to do a little more work...superheroes and soldiers, I think. Or maybe I'll just shower and have ice cream :) We'll see!
