study break

Ok...got out at 12:30 so I could work on my paper. I only have 3 more days to do this....so I SHOULD be working my ass off. I am...sort of. I read a whole book this weekend and have worked off and on all afternoon to integrate it into the existing paper (which is 54 pages, BTW). But, I am sick (or something) and have had a headache all day, and now that I'm home, finally have that lovely post-nasal drip AND headache. I just feel blucky and I can't do anything about it. Blah.
Plus, I slammed head first into a closet door yesterday. I was playing with a couple of kids in the muscle room and tripped on one. In an attempt to not flatten the poor kids, I leaned forward and stopped myself with the top of my head. So that's tender today. But, I didn't flatten the kids...isn't that what counts?
Ok...back to the paper. I'm about halfway through...and apparently I didn't proofread my project before I sent it to my chair...so I'm having to make those changes too. I just wanna take a nap :(

Ross the intern Reports > Torino 2006

Ross the intern Reports > Torino 2006
Oh my....you HAVE to check this out! I'm not really into the olympics (although I'm sure I'll watch some of the skating and snowboarding)....but this blog is funny! Maybe it's because I've seen this guy on Leno, so I "hear" it all in his voice in my head. He's so naive and gay...it's great :)
Plus if I post it here, I won't forget to read it peiodically :)
Sister...I have written half of the children's book summaries I told you about. I AM TOO working on my paper :) And ordering books on Amazon, and shoveling, and watching TV....

Welcome to Tonic Sol-Fa.com

Welcome to Tonic Sol-Fa.com
I REALLY wanted to share this with you all yesterday, but Blogger was down. I know Sister knows about these guys...they rock...but the rest of you lurkers out there REALLY need to check Tonic Sol Fa out! They are an accapella group from MN..and they ROCK!!
That's all. Just playing a bit while my mac-n-cheese cooks...and then I have to work my ass off. OH WAIT!! I AM working on my paper....Blue's Clues just happens to be about Superheroes!!! Too bad they don't have it on DVD/VHS. Then I could add it to my paper. Instead, I'm taking the idea (working together) and using it :) I'm SO glad I turned on Noggin :)

Sorry...

I know, I know....you are all waiting with baited breath for updates on my VERY exciting life. I got nothin'!
My Capstone is coming along....slowly. My last class is tomorrow. I sad about that...but I'm techincally not done, since I have this paper hanging over my head. It's at 45 pages right now! I work half days all week, so tomorrow will be groceries and email to my chair, Tuesday will be a work day (I was thinking about draggin my stuff to Taco Bell and eating nachos and writing :) ), Wednesday will be a work day, and Thursday will be a work day. HOPEFULLY I can get all the articles and parent handouts written this week, so next week I can focus on getting the themed activities done. It would also be nice to have some form of feed back from my chair...like "tweak this" or "this sucks, try again" or "wow! This part rocks!" I get nothin'! *sigh* But, I got my summative assessment thing done....although I felt like I was answering the same question over and over again. It's not fair to make us write such an extensive review of ourselves at a time when our brains are fried!!
OH! I have to research motrin. I had aches, headaches, and cramps yesterday (I enjoy being a girl...NOT!), so I woke up, took my standard 3 Motrin and went about my day. About 5 hours later, grabbed 3 more and worked on a few projects. Another 5 or so hours later I went to take more. Decided this time that I should see what the daily max amount was. Hmmm....it says, "Take 1 every 4-6 hours. Take no more than 6 in a 24 hour period." Since I was feeling like poo, I took 3 more anyway! But, I swear I read at one point in time to take 1-2 every 4-6 hours, with no more than 12 in a 24 hour period. So maybe the shape I have now (the long ones, not the round ones that I like and usually get) are stronger?? All I know is that I'm crampy again but I'm too scared to take drugs. There's a warning about stomach bleeding...I don't want that!!
Now that I've grossed everyone out...I'm off to research Motrin :)

Funny....but I think the "Shining" as feel-good flick was better.....
